Drive Thru Fail

The "Watch Your Head" sign is so high that you can't see it from your car. Why such long wires between the sign and the crossbar?  FAIL!

The Hypocracy of Multiculturalism & Diversity by the Left

I had an opportunity to be at Delaware State University, a historically black college with a very liberal reputation.  I figured a college as liberal is this one must really be into multiculturalism.  Then I went in the campus bookstore to shop, and walked into a world of hypocrisy.

I hope that the African sash is optional for commencement ceremonies.

I checked out the biography section and could not find even one biography of a non-black.  Ok, I thought, maybe the biographies of Asians, Caucasions and other races are sold out.  Knowing that liberals are into multiculturalism, I continued exploring.

I checked out the General Reading section to check out the novels and magazines.  The closest I could come to finding a non-black book on the shelf was Invictus, the story about the South African sports team.  At least that movie was multicultural, in a way.

Browsing further, I came across this little gem, titled "Name That Republican: A Field Guide to the Rogues and Rascals of the GOP."  In the interest of diversity, I continued to look for a similar book for the Democrats, found none, and asked a staff member if they had an equivalent book.  They did not.  So much for diversity.  The browsing continued.

Not surprisingly, there were numerous books about Nobama.  In the Career Guide section, right next to the books about resume-writing, was this gem about how to get a job in the stimulus plan.  Need I say more? The libs not only passed this stupid, ineffective stimulus plan, now they're publishing books about how to get a government job in it.  And yes, I skimmed through the book and it was all about government jobs, not private sector ones.

Thank goodness for liberal African-American colleges.  Where else will we get the next generation of left wing, college educated community organizers with an ax to grind?  Yet the left has the audacity to say that they are all for multiculturalism and diversity.  I guess only when it suits them.

Now a word on racism:

While trying to end racism in this world is a noble cause and we should all continue to do our best to achieve that goal, we must recognize that our job is made harder by the following: the NAACP; the Black Caucus; the Black Miss America Pageant; The United Negro College Fund; The National United Black Fund; National Black United Front; ACORN; United Black Community; United Black Christians; United Black Writers Association; Black Voices United; United Black Republican Coalition; United Black Association for Development;  United Black Students; the New Black Panther Party; United Black Youth Front; United Black America; Black History Month; the United Black Fund;  United Black Men; United Black Women; United Black Book Club; United Black World Month; Black Student Union.  Should I continue or do you see a pattern here?

Earth Hour 2010, March 27 @ 8:30 local

To celebrate this leftist environmental wacko holiday, I'm turning on as many lights as possible. Who's with me?  Now a word on environmentalism:

In a nation founded on the pioneer spirit, environmentalists have made "development" an evil word. They inhibit or prohibit the development of Alaskan oil, offshore drilling, nuclear power--and every other practical form of energy. Housing, commerce, and jobs are sacrificed to spotted owls and snail darters. Medical research is sacrificed to the "rights" of mice. Logging is sacrificed to the "rights" of trees. No instance of the progress that brought man out of the cave is safe from the onslaught of those "protecting" the environment from man, whom they consider a rapist and despoiler by his very essence.

The fundamental goal of environmentalism is not clean air and clean water; rather, it is the demolition of technological/industrial civilization. Environmentalism's goal is not the advancement of human health, human happiness, and human life; rather, it is a subhuman world where "nature" is worshipped like the totem of some primitive religion.

Interesting Randomness

The ice cubes in this glass got aligned randomly into two rows standing on end around the inside of the glass.  The sun reflecting off the inside of the glass to make a perforated circle adds a nice touch to the picture, which was taken with a cell phone camera.
