The Storm That Wasn't

March 2-3, 2014 started with predictions of 8-12 inches of snow. The storm was hyped for a solid week with the all-to-common "we're doomed" predictions.  As it turns out, the storm was a dud that only left 4 inches of accumulation as measured by the official PYI ruler.  It was a dry, powdery snow that was at the upper limit of needing only a broom to sweep it away.  It was still enough to cancel school.  Parking spots were easily plowed with a shovel, and no lifting was required. March 4 was very sunny and the roads were dry by day's end.  Pictures below:
